Skincare -the new mask!

My skin felt like it needed a little something extra to pep it up a bit! It needed a hit of moisture to make it look juicy and plump rather than wrinkled prune! Whilst perusing the isles of Boots I picked up The Sanctuary Time Reverse face mask - forgetting the turn the clocks back bit, it looked like it might deliver a shot of moisture and add a bit of much needed glow so I decided to pick up the sachet size for £2.50 to try it out. Boy, did it do what it says on the tin!!

I cleansed with the usual morning cleanser, Oskia renaissance cleansing gel and followed with The Body Shop calming toner. I then slapped on a thick layer of the sanctuary mask and sat back to catch up on twitter, you tube, Instagram, etc.... then a little longer than I meant too had passed by (oops!) I wiped the mask away with a fresh muslin and wow my skin felt revived, glowy and smooth. Great results from a purse friendly mask.

I followed with some Botanics hydrating eye cream, Sarah chapman hydrating booster and lastly Hydraluron moisture jelly. Job done!

Weekend face!

Well, I'm back to the blogging world with a new start. I had my gorgeous baby girl and just had no time for blogging (cue the violins) but now I have got this mum lark a bit more figured out and have some me time in the evenings where I plan on regular blog posts popping up! So let's get on with this shiz and share with you, this weekends face....

For my face base I used Indeed Labs Eysilix eye cream, followed by Sarah Chapman intense hydrating booster serum and then topping off with Indeed Labs Hydraluron Moisture Jelly....mmm a perfect combo! This trio just work perfectly together to make my skin prepped and primed ready for the following...

Let's just start with the makeup bag that makes me smile every time I see it :) I spotted. This beaut on alphabet bags.co.uk. I then filled it with this weekends make up bits. I started with the Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser, oil free formulation, as it is light enough feeling for summer and day time use but thick enough to give coverage. Personally, I think this falls somewhere between a tinted moisturiser and a foundation which in my books makes it perfect. I then conceal any blemishes and dark circles with Nars creamy concealer in vanilla. I then added a touch of colour to the cheeks with the cult classic, Nars blush in orgasm, I apply from the cheek bones under the iris towards the temples. That's it face base complete for a low key dewy base...

I then used my all time favourite eye shadow Mac All That Glitters, all over the lid and slick on some Loreal Blackbuster liquid eyeliner pen to draw on a lovely feline flick in one swoop...super easy and quick! I curl my lashes and then apply lashings of mascara, this weekend I have chosen Topshop False Lash mascara and am really impressed with this little toppers beaut. I was about to repurchase the hourglass brow pencil when I came across the Sleek Eyebrow sculpting pencil...in my opinion this is a good dupe for a fraction of the price!

Well there you go, that's what I'm wearing product and make up wise this weekend and I am really enjoying all of these products. Hope you've had a great weekend and enjoyed some great products too!
